* OCC Fit Solutions was here last month for healthy leg day. OCC Fit offers compression socks, which really help with many types of leg issues, from tired achy legs to swelling, varicose or spider veins, to deep vein thrombosis.  With Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance through Glovis Alabama, you are able to receive 6 pair of compression socks per year at no out of pocket cost to you. There are many styles to choose from.  I realize there were many team members who did not get to participate in the trial run, so OCC Fit Solutions will be returning on December 14th and will be available from 5:00 AM to 4:00 PM in the training room. Please take advantage of this opportunity to promote a healthy leg lifestyle.

* Blue Cross/Blue Shield open enrollment began November 1, 2017 and will continue through November 30, 2017.  The good news is this year there will not be an increase in premiums for Health coverage.  There will be a slight increase in premiums for Dental.  This year only, BCBS is allowing an open enrollment for Dental Coverage.  If you are not currently enrolled in the BC/BS Dental Plan and are interested in enrolling, you must do so before November 30, 2017.  There will not be an increase in Vision coverage this year.

* Aflac open enrollment will be November 9th and 10th in the Training Room.

* Prudential open enrollment will be in February 2018.

* Contrary to what was reported earlier, November 17, 2017 will be a full production day.  The majority of the facility will not be in operation from November 20, 2017 through November 24, 2017.  November 27, 2017, 1st and 2nd shift will not be working.  You will need to use Personal Days or Vacation, if available, for November 20th through the 22nd and also on November 27th.

* Three styles of Glovis jackets have been added to the team wear website. Glovis beanies/skull caps have also been added. These items may be purchased using your assigned allowance. The team wear website will be deactivated on December 1st until January 2018. Any remaining team wear allowances will not rollover to 2018 so be sure to use your allowance by the end of November. Contact General Affairs if you have any questions or concerns about team wear.

* Express your appreciation for the Armed Forces by participating in Holidays for Heroes. Holidays for Heroes is a community based humanitarian organization that receives, sorts, screens, and distributes holiday cards to members of our Armed Forces. Take a few minutes to create a card with a heartfelt message of gratitude and wishes and drop it in the box in the CC1 cafeteria. Cards will be collected unitl 11/30/17.
